Is it illegal to sell brand name clothing to others (through website) that you bought from wholesalers?

There are alot of clothing sites on the internet that sell “orginal” brand names, but they’re made in a different company and aren’t authentic.
If people bought them and they turned around and sold them on their site, or somewhere like Ebay, if they were honest and listed a description of the clothes without using the brand name and calling them authentic, would that be illegal still or not?
