I am 7 wks pregnant and my doctor took me off my neurontin, but now am having severe problems, what do I do?

I am just wandering is there any safe alternative medicine that I can take. I am waiting for my doctor to call me back, but was just curious if anyone had any names of medicines to try or ask my doctor about.
