Is it better to take Prednisolone ONCE or TWICE daily for a chronic condition?

My cat has been taking Prednisolone longterm for a chronic condition. I’m currently giving 5 mg ONCE daily in the morning. I’m wondering if it would be better to give 2.5 mg TWICE (in the morning and in the evening).

I was just thinking that if it was given 12 hours apart instead of 24, that it would be more effective.
